John Barger

John Barger is a native of Santa Fe, NM who presently resides in
Texas. "My paintings are meditations on nature, not transcriptions
of the landscape. Recording details isn’t nearly as important as
how I relate to the scene, what poetry it evokes in me", relates
John. Barger received a Fine Arts Degree from the University of
Texas in the early seventies and has gone on to study art in Mexico
and Europe. His love of art and travel has served him well with his
commitment to the landscape. His paintings capture the beauty of
nature from Florida to Wyoming and points in between. Mr. Barger is
currently listed in Davenport’s Art Reference, Mayers and
the Official Price Guide to Fine Arts.
