My life has been spent in the American West and it has greatly influenced me. Although it is not the exclusive source of my subject matter Texas and Alaska, in particular, have shaped my perceptions and given me an appreciation for the grand scale of mountains, oceans, wide-open spaces, big skies and sunshine. Nancy is a second generation painter and designer and her early interest in art was largely influenced by her father James Boren.
