Ken O'Toole

Fort Worth artist Ken O'Toole is a Texas native and moved around the state with his family as the son of an evangelical minister.
As the perpetual "new Kid" his most reliable companions were his imagination and the public library.
In addition to his artistic endeavors in painting he is a published author and photographer.
The subjects of his photography have figured prominently in his compositions. As seen in these unique pieces, his photos become the "palettes" for his art.

"Trichotomy"
Simply stated, we each have a body, a soul and a spirit. In a world full of sensory stimuli it is easy to focus on our physical natures. When we encounter the hard edges of this life it is tempting to allow thoughts and emotions of our souls to grow dark. Still because we are spiritual beings made in the image of our creator, that intrinsic light guide us to our truest nature and purpose if we but heed the still small voice that speaks directly to our spirit.

"Migration of Dreams"
The theme of this work is the change that our dreams impose upon reality. As circumstance changes, we change. As we change, our dreams change, our circumstances change. So, there is constant movement, which is more or less frantic depending on the risk we are willing to take to follow our dreams.

"Inner City"
Inner City speaks to the idea that even in our busy, complex lives our core being holds onto that which keeps us centered and grounded in the true ideals of our basic beliefs and inner soul.
