"Imaginary
Places": Abstract Landscapes by Steven DaLuz will be
Featured at Monticello Fine Arts Gallery’s September 30,
through October 28.
Artist’s reception September 30, 5pm to 8pm.
The Monticello Fine Arts Gallery is proud to announce a
one-man show devoted to the works of Steven DaLuz. Artist
reception is scheduled for April 30 at the Monticello Fine
Arts Gallery.
"These works are not literal landscapes of specific places,"
says Steve. Rather, they are suggestions more reminiscent of
an experience of a place…a figment. They are material,
introspective, and spiritual.
The subtle veils of color on the surface play with the
complexity of light and space. To convey the depth and
quality, Steve employs other material to achieve the right
mood or expression. His use of the reflective qualities of
copper, silver, and gold illuminate light to catch the
viewer eye and draws you into the "imagined place."
DaLuz, although born in California has lived in 7 states and
13 foreign countries. He now considers himself a "Native
Texan" after making San Antonio his home for more than 20
years. Steve received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree,
Summa cum Laude, from the University of Texas at San
Antonio.
Monticello Fine Arts Gallery is located at 3700 West Seventh
